Biography

Alexander Sanchez is a documentary and portrait photographer. He lives and works in The Netherlands and currently studies at the Dutch Photo Academy (Fotoacademie) in Amsterdam, where he hopes to graduate in 2020.

Social themes have the focus in his work. With his photo series he gives his audience a view behind the scenes. By showing what is normally left unseen, he allows his subject to get the attention s/he deserves.

His work has been exhibited in the Melkweg Expo in Amsterdam, the NatLab in Eindhoven, the Dom church in Utrecht and the Herman van Veen Arts Center in Utrecht.

In my portraits I give you room to be yourself. You show me who you want me to see. I hunt for those moments in between, where you show me your true self.
